Dial-up configuration for Microsoft's latest Windows XP and 2000.

The following instructions are for setting up Microsoft Windows 2000 only.
On your desktop, double click on My Computer, and then Control Panel. Double click on the Icon Network and Dial-up Connections, then double click on Make New Connection to start the Network and Internet Connection Wizard.
Click Next to continue. Select Dial-up to the Internet, then click the Next button to continue.
Click on the option I want to set up my Internet connection manually, or I want to connect through a local area network (LAN), then click Next to continue.
Make sure that I connect through a phone line and a modem is selected, then click the Next button to continue.
Make sure the Area code box is empty. Delete any existing numbers in the area code. For the Telephone number, look up your local dialing number here. Remove the tick from the box Use area code and dialing rules, then click the Next button to continue.
Enter in the username and password you had chosen upon joining Orcon. Click the Next button to continue.
Note: If you are not sure of either the username or password, please give the Orcon support team a call. We will be able to find your username for you, or reset your password to a new one if needed.
For the Connection Name, just type Orcon, then click Next to go to the next step.
When prompted to set-up your email program (Outlook Express), just click No. Click the Next button, and then Finish to complete the dial-up connection for Windows 2000.
Note: Refer to the configuration instructions for setting up Outlook Express.
The Internet Connection Wizard will have set-up Orcon as your default connection. Just double click on the Internet Explorer Icon on your desktop to connect to the Internet.

The following instructions are for setting up Microsoft Windows XP only.
On your desktop, click on the Start menu, then click once on Control Panel.
Note: If you are running Windows XP - Home Edition, just click on Start then Settings to find the Control Panel.
From the Control Panel, click once on Network and Internet Connections.
You will be presented with a window asking you to Pick a task. Click once on Create a connection to the network at your workplace.
Select the option Dial-up connection, then click the Next button to continue.
For the Company Name, type Orcon, then click the Next button to continue.
For the Telephone number, look up your local dialing number here.
This completes the configuration of your Orcon dial-up connection. Put a tick in the box Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop, then click the Finish button.
To connect to Orcon, close the Network and Internet Connections window, and return back to your desktop. You will see an Icon called Short-cut to Orcon. Double click on this Icon, then enter in your username and password (You will have chosen this when joining with Orcon), then click the Connect button to connect to the Internet.
