Configuration settings for one of the world's most widely used email clients.
CONFIGURING OUTLOOK EXPRESS FOR EMAIL
Outlook Express is the default mail client on all Windows installations. You can use it to send and receive email.
To load Outlook Express, click on the "Start" icon (lower left of your screen); then choose "Programs" and click on "Outlook Express".
Once Outlook Express is loaded, click on Tools/Accounts:
Click Add then Mail
Enter your name then click Next
Select I already have an email address that I'd like to use
Enter your email address this is your username followed by @orcon.net.au then click Next
Leave My incoming server is a POP3 alone, This is correct.
Enter your incoming server as pop3.orcon.net.au all in lowercase
Enter your outgoing server as smtp.orcon.net.au all in lowercase
Click Next
Enter your username and password, you can click save password if you want to,
But be sure to leave the Log on using... tickbox blank, then click Next
