If you have Microsoft Office or Microsoft Outlook installed on your computer, then use these instructions to configure this software for receiving your email.

Please note this is NOT to be confused with the more common Outlook Express, this is a completely different program. You can check what program you are using by going to Help then About.
To setup Microsoft Outlook, go to Tools then Services.
Note: If your Outlook is not set to support Exchange, you will have Accounts instead of Services.
Click on the Add button.
Select Internet Mail, then click OK.
Note: If you do not have Internet Mail showing, you do not have either Internet Mail or Outlook Express installed on your computer. Click on the download link for Outlook Express, in the related links below.
Enter your Full Name - this is what your friends see when you send them an email.
Enter your email address - this is normally your username followed by @orcon.net.au e.g. username@orcon.net.au
Enter the name of the Internet Mail Server as pop3.orcon.net.au Then, enter your username and password Then, click on the button Advanced options and enter smtp.orcon.net.au in the white box.
Click OK, then under Internet Mail click the OK again.
Under Services click the OK once again.
Close the Outlook program, then open it again to start sending and receiving emails.

Microsoft Outlook XP's setup process is a bit different from previous versions of the Outlook software.
To setup Outlook XP, go to Tools then E-mail Accounts...
Make sure Add a new e-mail account is selected, then click the OK button to continue.
Select POP3 as the server type, then click the Next to continue.
Note: You can select IMAP, if you wish to access your emails from multiple computers.
For the User Information, type in the name you would like to have showing on your emails. This can be your full-name, nick-name or Internet handle. Your email address will usually be in the format username@orcon.net.au.
Your username will have been chosen upon joining Orcon. Just type the same username and password in the following fields.
Note: If you have forgotten your password, you will need to contact the Orcon helpdesk to reset your password to a new one.
Type the following bold text for the Server Information:
Incoming mail server (POP3): pop3.orcon.net.au
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.orcon.net.au
Click the Next button to continue, then click Finish.
This completes the setup instructions for Outlook XP.
