All of Microsoft's Windows operating system contains the ability to connect to the Internet through it's built-in dial-up networking.
Select the operating system you are running, and follow the step-by-step instructions for configuring your computer to connect to the Internet.

The following instructions are for setting up Microsoft Windows 95 and Windows 98 only.
From your desktop, double click on My Computer, double click on the folder Dial-up Networking, then double click on Make New Connection. This will walk you through the Make New Connection wizard.
Where prompted for the name of your computer, just type in Orcon. Your modem (which should have been configured, when you installed Windows 95) should be shown in the Select a device area. Click the Next button to continue.
Note: If you have more then one modem installed in your computer, make sure you select the correct modem you will be connecting through.
Make sure the Area code box is empty. Delete any existing numbers in the area code. For the Telephone number, look up your local dialing number here.
Click the Finish button to create an Orcon dial-up icon.
Right click on the Orcon Icon, then left click on Properties
Under the General tab, remove the tick from the box Use area code and Dialing Properties (can also be known as Use Country code and Area code).
Click on the Server Types tab along the top. Remove the tick from Log on to network, enable software compression, NetBEUI and IPX/SPX Compatible. The only box that should still be ticked is TCP/IP. Click the OK button to save the above changes.
To connect to the Internet, you will need to create a short-cut on your desktop for the Orcon icon. To create the short-cut, just right click on the Orcon Icon, then left click on Create Shortcut. Just click the OK button when prompted to place the short-cut on your desktop.
To connect to Orcon, close Dial-up Networking, and return back to your desktop. You will see an Icon called Short-cut to Orcon. Double click on this Icon, then enter in your username and password (You will have chosen this when joining with Orcon), then click the Connect button to connect to the Internet.

The following instructions are for setting up Microsoft Windows ME only.
From your desktop, click on the Start menu, move the mouse up to Settings then click once on Dial-Up Networking.
Double click on Make New Connection. This will walk you through the Make New Connection wizard.
Where prompted for the name of your computer, just type in Orcon. Your modem (which should have been configured, when you installed Windows ME) should be shown in the Select a device area. Click the Next button to continue.
Make sure the Area code box is empty. Delete any numbers you have showing. For the Telephone number, look up your local dialing number here. Click the Next button to continue.
Click the Finish button to create an Orcon dial-up icon.
